Fireworks Retailer in Kent
A Passion for Fireworks Like No Other
At Polhill Fireworks, you won’t meet a more enthusiastic firework retailer. With my birthday falling on Bonfire Night weekend, I’ve celebrated every year with a few whizzes and bangs – it’s my favourite season! I love the autumnal colours, the excitement of Halloween, pumpkins, the first frosts, jacket potatoes, chilli con carne, bonfires, bright colours, and finally, that unmistakable smell of sulphur.
After many years consulting for various fireworks wholesalers, I knew my knowledge was strong enough to try retailing from a suitable site. And so, Polhill Fireworks was born back in 2017. Originally retailing from Polhill Garden Centre we have now found a far superior site “Hewitts Farm” We have a purpose-built display unit open from 15th October until 10th November and again from 27th December until New year’s Eve, with a licence to sell both 1.3g fireworks (the loud ones) and 1.4g fireworks. I personally visit the trade shows in late summer and hand-pick a vast selection of the best fireworks in the UK. Whether you’re looking for a heart-pounding bang or a dazzling display of colours, we’ve got the finest fireworks

Why Choose Polhill Fireworks?
The Best Fireworks in Kent – Exclusively Available at Polhill Fireworks
Many of the fireworks we stock are simply not available in supermarkets or from our competitors. They don’t have the necessary safe and legal storage facilities to obtain the licence we have.
We hold the maximum legal quantities of both 1.3g and 1.4g fireworks in our display cabin, with additional stock stored securely in our military bunker just a mile away. This means we can offer constant deliveries during the busy days leading up to Bonfire Night, New Year’s Eve, and other events.
Visit us at Polhill Fireworks and speak to one of our fully trained staff members for expert advice and help in choosing the perfect fireworks for your event. We’re here to make your celebration truly spectacular!
1.3g vs 1.4g Fireworks
Understanding the Differences Between 1.3g and 1.4g Fireworks
1.3g fireworks go BANG, and 1.4g fireworks go pop. Here’s a quick comparison:
- 1.3g fireworks are made with flash powder, which means you need to be at least 25m away to enjoy them safely.
- 1.4g fireworks are made with black powder, with safety distances ranging from 5 to 15m.
While the rules on storage for 1.3g and 1.4g fireworks are quite different, advances in manufacturing mean that 1.4g fireworks now offer incredible visual effects – though that heart-stopping bang from the 1.3g will be hard to match for a few more years yet!
